Best way to orient Electric Screwdriver to avoid cross-threading
Cross-threading is one of big problem during tightening, this is usually caused by the fastener being applied at an angle to the proper position and being forced onto the bolt. The threads of a bolt or nut are designed to interact with the axis of every aligned, which allows the peaks and valleys of the threads to slip across one another. During tightening, the Electric screwdriver needs to fixed perpendicular to the work surface. If bolt or nut is available at the top of the work surface, it can be managed by the operator but after practice, if bolt or nut position is different it will be very difficult for the operator to manage the perpendicular position of Electric screwdriver.
To avoid the cross-threading need to use Arm and fix the Electric screwdriver in these Arm. KILEWS provides torque Arm along with Electric screwdriver for accurate tightening and to avoid cross-threading.
Torque ARM -
KILEWS (KP-AUX Series) -
The Kilews Auxiliary Arm is a torque arm that is attached to an automatic Electric screwdriver. The arm reduces the effect of torque on the operator and helps to fix the screwdriver in one angle. There are four variants available: KP-AUXA, KP-AUX1T, KP-AUX2, and KP-AUX55.
The KP-AUXA and KP-AUX1T models have a valve rocker that rotates 360 degrees. The main arm is often extended to a length of 830mm. The inner arm features a gas stick of nitrogen which enables easy movement of the arm. It also automatically lifts the arm after the fastening work is done. Optional accessories KP-VA1and KP-VAR are 90-degree adapters, which may be wont to lock the arm at the specified angle.
